Description

RLA Universal Primer is a rapid-drying, water-based acrylic primer designed to improve adhesion between substrates and compatible cement-based tile adhesives and levelling compounds. Suitable for both porous and non-porous surfaces, this low-VOC, solvent-free primer helps prepare concrete, ceramic tiles, burnished concrete and other suitable substrates for subsequent flooring applications.

🔮 ICR Pro Tip.
Don't assume every concrete floor needs the same primer dilution. A porous slab can absorb primer quickly, while burnished concrete or existing tiles may repel water and require the primer to be applied neat.
The simple water-drop test can help you identify which application method to use before you start. But remember, it only indicates surface absorbency—it doesn't confirm that the substrate is structurally sound, dry enough or free from contaminants.
