Expansion Joint Foam 50mm
Description
Polyethylene Foam Expansion Jointing is a flexible, closed-cell joint filler designed to provide reliable separation and movement space in concrete construction. Suitable for both horizontal and vertical applications, it can be easily cut and trimmed to suit different project requirements.
Manufactured from 100% closed-cell, cross-linked polyethylene foam, this lightweight jointing material provides excellent compressibility and recovery, allowing it to accommodate movement within concrete elements without absorbing moisture or common fluids.
Its non-absorbent construction makes it suitable for internal and external applications, while its versatility allows it to be used as an expansion joint filler, gap filler, backing strip or bond breaker across a wide range of construction applications.

🔮ICR Pro Tip.
Don't confuse an expansion joint filler with something that simply fills a gap. The whole point of using a compressible polyethylene joint is to preserve the ability of the concrete to move.
When installing it, make sure the jointing extends to the required depth and remains continuous through the area you're separating. Avoid accidentally bridging the joint with concrete, mortar or other rigid material, as this can defeat the purpose of the movement joint.
