Crack Inducer + Grey Capping
Description
Connolly Crack Inducers are an economical and efficient solution for controlling cracking in small concrete pours and decorative finishes. Designed to be installed directly into wet concrete, they create a controlled weak point that encourages cracking to occur neatly along the strip—eliminating the need for saw cutting or hand-tooled joints.
Manufactured from roll-formed galvanised steel, these crack inducers provide long-term durability while protecting joints from dirt, debris and moisture ingress.

🔮ICR Pro Tip.
Concrete is going to crack — the trick is making it crack where you want it to. Connolly Crack Inducers create a planned weakness in the slab, helping direct shrinkage cracking along a predetermined joint rather than leaving you with random cracks across the finished surface.
For the best result, position the Crack Inducer immediately after screeding while the concrete is still workable, then work it vertically into the slab until the top is flush with the finished surface. Trowel around the inducer to close any voids before completing your finishing.
