Description
Metal Base Plates, commonly known as Dinner Plates or Tin Lids, are designed to provide a stable footing for plastic-tipped metal bar chairs during concrete slab-on-ground construction. By increasing the bearing surface beneath the chair, they prevent the legs from sinking into soft sand, crushed rock or uneven ground, ensuring reinforcing mesh and rebar remain at the correct height throughout the concrete pour.

Manufactured from durable galvanised steel, Metal Base Plates also help protect polyethylene vapour barriers from punctures caused by concentrated loads, making them an essential accessory for achieving the correct concrete cover and a professional-quality finish.
