Description
Deformed Reinforcing Bar, also known as deformed rebar, is a high-strength steel reinforcement bar featuring ribs, lugs or surface deformations designed to improve the mechanical bond between the steel and surrounding concrete. These surface ribs help prevent the bar from slipping within the concrete, allowing the reinforcement to effectively transfer tensile forces through the structure.
Our D500N deformed reinforcing bar is manufactured to 500MPa strength and is available in a range of diameters to suit residential, commercial and civil construction applications.

Key Features:
D500N Grade 500MPa reinforcing steel
Deformed surface for improved concrete-to-steel bond
Normal Ductility (N)
Supplied in 12mm, 16mm and (20mm MTO) diameters
Stock lengths at 6m
Suitable for structural concrete reinforcement
Helps resist tensile forces within concrete structures
Manufactured for use in accordance with AS/NZS 4671

Suitable For:
Concrete slabs
Footings and foundations
Beams
Columns
Retaining walls
Driveways and structural pavements
Residential construction
Commercial construction
Civil and infrastructure projects
General reinforced concrete applications

🔮ICR Pro Tip.
The bigger the bar isn't automatically the better choice. Reinforcing bar diameter, spacing, laps, bends and placement all work together as part of an engineered reinforcement system. If your plans call for N12, N16, N20 or another specific bar, use the size shown on the engineering or reinforcement schedule rather than upgrading or downsizing it yourself.
